Visualisation for a radical front garden transformation in Fyfe. Currently it's one big lock block parking space. Soon to be transformed into a lush and inviting garden to enjoy the evening sunshine. Reusing block paving in a more contemporary arrangement with lots of planting and added structure using gabions.

Construction completed on this sloping Edinburgh garden. Making it accessable for my client who is looking forward to celebrating her 80th birthday with a garden party this May and inviting for wildlife was the priority. The old rotten deck has been replaced with a larger and rather splendid larch one (👏👏👏@mattymunro ) and the garden has been skillfully terraced using reclaimed bricks and paving and aggregate made from crushed site rubble. Thank you @conceptlandscapingltd for careful crafting this. Planting will be done in the next few weeks to finish the transformation. Really looking forward 🤩🌱🌻🌿🦋🐞🐝

Second week of construction completed by @conceptlandscapingltd in this Morningside garden redesign.
The guys are doing an incredible job. Truly embracing the client's desire to be as sustainable as possible. Paving has been reused from the front drive to form a raised sun deck Rubble crushed on-site to recycle as aggregate sub-base. And the beautiful new retaining walls are coming together with reclaimed brick and big Dave's skilled hand. Even leaving on the moss. Really pleased with the progress.

Ground cleared, site rubble crushed and now being used as aggregate sub-base. My client is very keen to achieve as sustainable a garden remodel as possible. Celebrating her eightieth birthday this May the garden is being terraced so that she can enjoy it fully along with the wildlife that she is so keen to welcome into it. Sadly sustainable construction can be time consuming and more expensive than off the shelf solutions. I'm grateful that my client is willing to invest in the environment as well as her garden to minimise the carbon footprint 👣 of the work. We'll be using larch for the raised deck, steps and balustrade. Reclaimed brick for the retaining walls and steps and reusing existing concrete paving. And then planting planting planting. Oh yes and a wee wild life pond has been added to the mix. 👌🎉👏🤩🌱🐛 Happy days.

First site visit of the year and a frosty 🥶 one at that. Checking progress and further setting out on this rather magical garden belonging to a traditional Victorian sandstone villa in Trinity, Edinburgh. This is going to be a garden of journeys and secret spaces. Abundant with dense planting and surprises. It's been a real indulgence as a designer. I'm very excited to see it coming together. 🤩🌱
